River Ranch is an elegant home at the gateway of Lake Placid, with the majestic High Peaks as its backdrop. Built in the 1930's, the magnificent main house was constructed using the weathered wood and hand-hewn beams from eight local barns. The stones for its two large fireplaces were hand-picked from the adjoining Ausable River. It is decorated in a unique combination of rustic ranch and Adirondack decor, highlighted with fine antiques and oriental rugs. The Great Room, with its magnificent views of the Adirondack Mountains, is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of hiking, skiing or exploring the Olympic Region.
