WELCOME TO LAKE PLACID ACCOMMODATIONS
Lake Placid Accommodations offers visitors to the Lake Placid area a full service rental agency of Condominiums, Townhouses, Chalets and Private Residences. We offer a wide variety of accommodations. Rentals may be made on a weekend, weekly, monthly, or seasonal basis. Our goal is to accommodate you according to location preference, housing needs, desired length of stay, and budget.
We can provide a luxuriously appointed, one to six bedroom condominium, townhouse, chalet, or private home...most within walking distance to the Olympic Village, and to the many fine shops and restaurants in town. Or, if you prefer, a private chalet minutes from the Olympic mountain, Whiteface Ski Center.
Our properties are fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including fully-applianced kitchens, as well as washers and dryers. Linens are provided with each rental at no additional charge.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the office hours?
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. In addition, we have a 24/7
answering service and can be reached at any time for urgent matters.
What if we arrive after office hours?
Please be sure to phone our office before your arrival. We require a two hour window of your arrival in order to make arrangements for keys to the property.
What time can I check-in/check out?
Check in time is 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. for the Lake Placid Club Lodges. Check out time is 10:00 a.m. If you require an earlier check-in time or a later departure time you must phone our office to make arrangements and you may incur an additional charge.
What should I bring?
Towels and linens are supplied with each rental with the exception of beach
towels. Typically vacation rental properties do not provide shampoo, toiletries,
hair dryers and irons. Some properties have these items but not all. If you
require these items please phone our office.
In addition, a starter supply of dish soap, toilet paper, laundry soap and bar soap is also supplied but it is up to the rental guest to purchase anything additional for their rental stay.
Is the kitchen supplied?
Every property amenity may differ. It is up to the individual property owner to supply basic kitchen items based on occupancy of the unit. Some properties are more equipped than others. You can expect basic pots, pans, dishes and
flatware. For those that don't like to cook... we have many restaurant recommendations, please call our office for some great suggestions.
What payment do you accept?
A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. This can be made via check or
credit card. We take Visa, Mastercard or Discover. Balance is due 30 days prior
to your arrival.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a 60 day notice to receive 90% of your deposit returned less the
$50.00 booking fee. Otherwise, if less than 60 days, we will make every effort to re-rent the property, if we are successful, 90% of your deposit is returned to you less the booking fee. If we are unable to rebook the property due to late
cancellation the full amount of rental will be forfeited. We cannot refund
reservations due to weather conditions or acts of God. We do offer Travel and
Trip Cancellation Insurance. Please phone us for details.
Can I arrange for daily housekeeping?
Yes, for an additional fee (based on your needs) you may arrange for extra
housekeeping services. This arrangement must be made during the initial
reservation process in order to schedule accordingly.
What if there is an emergency?
For fire or medical emergencies the tenant should phone 911. For other property type emergencies such as water, heat or plumbing issues, please phone our 24/7 office number and one of our associates will assist you.
Is there an outdoor grill?
Please phone our office to check if there is an available grill for rental use. Some Home Owners Association regulations do not permit grills on the outdoor porches. Please check with our office for this item.
Will we have access to a phone?
Each of our units are equipped with phones for your local calling convenience. All long distance calls must be made collect or charged to your calling card.
Is there internet/wireless access, cable TV/DVD?
Not all properties have internet service, cable TV or DVD players. Please phone our office to see if it is available in the specific rental property.
Where is the grocery store?
The main grocery store in Lake Placid is The Price Chopper located at 1930
Saranac Ave. We also recommend a concierge service if you would like your
vacation rental stocked with your favorite goodies before your arrival. Please
phone us for the number and you may order the service directly.
How do I find out about the Olympic venues and events?
Please go to our website for a link to the ORDA Olympic Region Development
Authority website for current schedules and events for the week of your visit.
